I worked as a dedicated link between the sales and office team to help customers to buy holiday homes on the Quay West Haven Holiday Park. My job required an adept level of interpersonal communication, and as a sales advisor, the needs of both the business and the customer were always my highest priority. A strong teamwork ethic enhanced my position, allowing me to enable team members to perform at their optimal, especially during the busy summer period.
Served holiday-makers food and refreshments throughout the course of Haven’s peak seasons (Easter and Summer), including August bank holiday weekend. Engaged with customers and their families, to help produce and maintain a happy atmosphere throughout their stay on site. Exercised calm control over situations involving intoxicated and unruly customers, and aided in keeping the peace to ensure everyone is pleased with their holiday experience.
I worked towards helping new, current, and potential students fit comfortably into Plymouth University student life. This involved networking with new undergraduate students, and their parents, to ensure the process of becoming a student was as smooth as possible.
Gained valuable work expereience in the fields of Software Engineering and Network Management for one week at Met Office HQ, as part of their optional short term work experience plan. Learned many aspects as to how a key government business functions. Developed my abilities to transfer my own skills into their own ways of business practice.
Established customer rapport quickly through clear and confident communication in my roles as a student ambassador, caravan sales advisor, and bar team member.
Worked efficiently to support team members in high stress situations, a critical part of the charity work I have undertaken in Kenya over the prior 3 years.
Successfully adapted to changing situations encountered in my university ambassador work, and volunteer charity assignments.
Drive & Enthusiasm:
Enthusiastic and target driven throughout multiple university projects and meeting deadlines, whilst encouraging the same proactive attitude from colleagues.
Developed an understanding of logical business practices and programming structures through my internship at the MET Office, which have since been improved further in a performance driven sales environment.
